What does Zhou Boost Elite do?
This is our review of Zhou Boost Elite, a testosterone booster with claims to promote:
- Energy
- Testosterone
- Muscle Mass
- Energy
- Libido
But how well will it work for you?
In this review, we look closer at this supplement to see how effective it is overall. We do this by analyzing the ingredients, side effects and weaker areas of this supplement.
Here’s what we have:
Zhou Boost Elite: The Ingredients Review
There are several ingredients in Zhou Boost Elite which may help testosterone. However, the majority of the ingredients seem to be more targeted to libido.
We think some of the main ingredients in here could be revised to give more strength to the testosterone boosting side of this supplement.
Below, we look at the main ingredients in Zhou Boost Elite and give you our thoughts:
Zinc
This is a great start to Zhou Boost Elite, Zinc is an effective mineral for promoting testosterone levels.
So, how does it raise your amount of the male hormone. After your body absorbs Zinc, it is used for various chemical reactions in your brain which can help raise your levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH).
LH is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone, the more of it you have in your system, the more support your testosterone levels have to grow.
Tribulus Terrestris
This however, is not a good option in Zhou Boost Elite – we’re not huge fans of Tribulus. The main reason for this is because it has a lot of marketing hype – but not a lot of actual results.
The only study which shows Tribulus Terrestris to help testosterone is in one single human study where the subject had very low testosterone and infertility issues.
It hasn’t been seen to work in any other case that has been recorded, apart from in animal studies. If your testosterone levels are around the average range and you’re looking for that boost in the gym – Tribulus is not your ‘go-to’ option.
Horny Goat Weed
Also known as Epimedium, this is another ingredient which isn’t ideal in Zhou Boost Elite.
Although it has claims to help raise testosterone – the actual evidence isn’t as confident. There aren’t any cases of Horny Goat Weed helping to promote testosterone. The most it may do in Zhou Boost Elite is mildly boost your libido and sex drive.
Fenugreek
This is a better option in Zhou Boost Elite. Fenugreek is a herb used in traditional medicine which has been seen in cases to help boost libido but can also support testosterone.
So, how does it raise your levels of T?
Fenugreek can help to regulate blood sugar and by extension, your levels of the hormone insulin.
When your insulin levels are higher, it causes a hormonal imbalance in your body. In response your body lowers your testosterone to maintain balance. This is known as homeostasis.
By using Fenugreek, you can help keep your insulin levels under better control and create a better hormonal environment for your testosterone levels to rise.
Maca
This isn’t a testosterone booster in Zhou Boost Elite but it does have some advantages.
Maca is more of a ‘male health’ ingredient. By that we mean that it has been seen in studies to help with libido and in some cases even sperm quality.
It may be good for fertility, but when it comes to actual testosterone boosting, it doesn’t have much of an effect.
Ginseng
This is a good supporting addition in Zhou Boost Elite. Ginseng can help in a similar way to Fenugreek, it’s another ingredient which can help to regulate your levels of insulin.
As we’ve mentioned, this can create a better hormonal balance which can allow your testosterone levels to rise.
There’s also some evidence of Ginseng helping with blood flow and libido.
DIM
This is a promising addition to Zhou Boost Elite, but more research may be needed to know for sure if it works.
DIM is a component usually found in green vegetables like broccoli. It is thought to work as an aromatase inhibitor – which essentially means it may work as an estrogen suppressant.
This may help reduce your levels of the female hormone, which could help your testosterone have more of an impact.
There aren’t studies to confirm this at the moment, but the preliminary research is looking promising.
Tongkat Ali
Also known as Longjack and Eurycoma Longifolia. This is a poor choice in Zhou Boost Elite.
Although it is thought to help boost testosterone levels, this has only been seen to work in animal studies. Unfortunately, the results have not scaled up to work in humans.
The only thing it may be able to do in Zhou Boost Elite is give you a mild boost in libido.
Yohimbe
The final ingredient in Zhou Boost Elite – and it may not be the most effective.
Yohimbe is always seen more as an appetite suppressant and is commonly used more in fat burners.
However, although it does have some effect, there are several side effects associated with supplementing this ingredient. What’s more, it doesn’t even promote testosterone.
We’ll cover all this and more in our side effects report later.

Ingredient Profile Summary for Zhou Boost Elite
There are some good ingredients in Zhou Boost Elite, but we feel that there’s a lot that could be done to improve this supplement.
Although there are a few ingredients here which could really help (like Zinc and Fenugreek), the majority is overshadowed by more libido driven ingredients like Longjack and Horny Goat Weed.
We think this supplement would benefit greatly from having more study backed testosterone boosting ingredients in there.
You can never go wrong with options that boost LH – like Zinc does.

Is Zhou Boost Elite safe to use?
It should be. All the ingredients in here are safe to use and at dosages that shouldn’t cause any problems.
That said, we can’t speak for everyone. Many people can have different reactions.
If you have any concerns before using Zhou Boost Elite – we suggest speaking to your doctor before taking it. This goes especially if you have any preexisting conditions or allergies.
What would touchingheartstouchingminds.com change about Zhou Boost Elite?
The main thing we would do is cut down on the libido enhancers and focus more on the testosterone boosters.
We’d keep the Zinc, Fenugreek and Ginseng in here – but the rest may need revising.
In addition we would add D-Aspartic Acid, Mucuna Pruriens, Ashwagandha and Luteolin.
DAA and Mucuna Pruriens would help your overall levels of LH. DAA does this in a similar way to Zinc with chemical reactions in your brain. Whereas Mucuna Pruriens help to boost your overall levels of the Gonadotropic-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) which is a precursor to LH.
As we’ve said, the more LH the more support for your testosterone to grow.
Ashwagandha can help in a similar way to Fenugreek, but instead of regulating insulin it regulates cortisol – which is your body’s stress hormone.
Similar effect on your hormonal balance and results in a better envrionment for your testosterone after the cortisol is brought under control.
Zhou Boost Elite Review Summary
Overall, this isn’t the best testosterone booster on the market.
As you can see, Zhou Boost Elite seems to focus a lot on libido enhancing angles rather than actual testosterone boosting. That’s fine if you’re looking for a stronger sex drive – but if you want muscle mass and libido, you may need to look elsewhere.
