touchingheartstouchingminds.com’s Overview:

There are plenty of good ingredients in Qualia Mind. They have a lot of research behind them and it shows. However, given the fact there are so many of these ingredients can be a bit daunting on some people, and could potentially cause problems. Especially with that price tag – Qualia Focus is more stripped backed option but still quite what we’re looking for.

Qualia Mind Review

This is our Qualia Mind Review, one of the bigger nootropics out there on the market.

It’s also one of the more expensive options that we’ve reviewed. Retailing at $69.50 for the first bottle and almost double at $119.00 for every shipment after – it is one of the most expensive nootropics we’ve seen.

If you just want to buy one bottle, Qualia Mind will cost you $139.00. It’s a hell of a lot.

This nootropic comes in both Caffeinated and Caffeine Free editions and has claims to promote:

  • Clarity
  • Focus
  • Brain Energy
  • Brain Nutrition
  • Removal of Brain Fog

So how well does it really work? In this review, we take a closer look at this premium nootropic to see how well it really works and if it could be a good choice for you.

This is what you need to know:

Qualia Mind Review

Qualia Mind Ingredients

There are a lot of them. The Qualia Mind nootropic is packed to the brim with ingredients.

That’s a huge risk for the Neurohacker Collective (the manufacturer) because it gives them a lot more potential for things to go wrong with this supplement.

That said, we were impressed with the overall formula. It’s far from perfect, but there are plenty of good options in here.

Below, we look at Qualia Mind’s main ingredients, along with what they do and if they can help you:

Qualia Mind Ingredients

Dosage – How does Mind look?

Thankfully, all the ingredients in Qualia Mind have fully displayed dosages. There are no proprietary blends in this nootropic.

A proprietary blend is when a supplement manufacturer chooses to hide the dosages in their supplement and group them together under one larger value.

It’s really good to see as there are so many ingredients in Qualia Mind. Here’s the full list of the dosages in this nootropic.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine

This isn’t the strongest ingredient in Qualia Mind but it does have some benefit that can help you.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine is an amino acid which has links to improving energy levels, metabolism and in some cases focus.

This may help to improve mental sharpness, but this isn’t what’s it’s primarily used for.

There’s a good amount in here, 500mg is a good dose for it to have an effective impact.

Artichoke

Again, this isn’t an ingredient in Qualia Mind that’s going to have a big impact when it comes to improving cognition.

The only thing this vegetable may be able to do is mildly improve blood flow, which could help improve blood flow to the brain. It’s not going to have much of an overall effect though, the impact is minimal.

Bacopa

A much better option in Qualia Mind. Bacopa is a nootropic herb that you see often in these types of supplements.

And with good reason, it works. Bacopa Monnieri has been seen in several studies to help promote memory formations while also helping to reduce anxiety.

It’s a great addition to help you in high-pressure environments when you need to think clearly.

Rhodiola Rosea

This is a good addition to Qualia Mind which doesn’t help cognition, but it can help mood.

Rhodiola Rosea is a Scandinavian herb which has been seen in studies to help promote feelings of well-being, while also helping to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.

This can help to calm your mind and give you a better mindset.

Phenylalanine

This however is not a great option in Qualia Mind. Phenylalanine is an amino acid which is thought to help promote your mood and mindset.

However, further studies have shown that this supplement is broken down too quickly by your body after being consumed, which means it may not activate in your system or give you much benefits.

L-Theanine

This is a better choice in Qualia Mind and is a good amino acid for your mindset.

L-Theanine is commonly found in herbs like Green Tea, but only in small amounts. Supplementing it directly can help a lot you mood. Studies show that it can help to promote relaxation in your mind, which can help you to focus more easily.

People usually combine L-Theanine with Caffeine because it can boost energy, while maintaining high focus and preventing jitters.

There is no caffeine in Qualia Mind.

Alpha GPC

Alpha GPC is more of a workout supplement in Qualia Mind – although it does have some cognitive benefits.

Some research has shown that it can help to increase power output during exercise in athletes.

It’s also been seen in some cases to promote cognition, improving focus and concentration.

Alpha-GPC isn’t the best option in Qualia Mind, but it will help you to some extent.

Cognizin Citicoline – One of the better options in Qualia Mind

One of the best ingredients in Qualia Mind. Citicoline is a great nootropic for cognition, especially Cognizin as it has so many studies behind it.

Cognizin is great for improving your overall brain energy. It can boost your acetylcholine levels which can help optimize your brain chemistry which can help learning, focus and memory.

It’s a great addition that we’re glad to see in here.

CoffeeBerry

This is a patented form of coffee bean in Qualia Mind. There’s not a lot out there when it comes to actuall studies on Coffeeberry, but there is some anecdotal claims.

It’s thought to help improve skin quality and may even be able to help reduce cognitive decline in older age.

There’s not much evidence for these claims though. It hasn’t been linked to causing any side effects.

Velvet Bean

Also known as Mucuna Pruriens, this is a nice supporting ingredient in Qualia Mind.

Velvet Bean has a very high content of serotonin – which is the feel good hormone. By supplementing it, you can help to reduce your stress levels and boost your dopamine and serotinin levels.

This can help improve your overall mood which can help improve your focus and motivation.

Phosphatidylserine – Another good choice for Qualia

One of the better ingredients included in Qualia Mind. Phosphatidylserine helps improves your brain’s glucose metabolism, this can help with brain regeneration, learning, memory, attention and more.

It’s good to see in this supplement and we would say this is the second best nootropic in Qualia Mind after the Citicoline.

Ginkgo Biloba

This isn’t a strong option in Qualia Mind. Ginkgo Biloba is a nutrient which is claimed to help promote focus and general cognition.

However, further study shows that this may not be the case.

Some reports show Gingko Biloba to be effective when it comes to cognition, whereas others show it to have no real effect at all.

With such conflicting results, many researchers believe that Ginkgo Biloba may have more of a placebo effect than that of a nootropic effect.

Huperzine A – Risky choice in Mind

The final ingredient we’ll be discussing in our Qualia Mind review. Huperzine A is a nutrient that is found in clubmoss.

It is thought to help raise memory, focus and even help to reduce cognitive decline. However, this isn’t always the case. Apparently this nootropic is easy to build a tolerance too. You may get some benefit over the first few uses, but these may die down over time.

Not only that, some researchers believe that Huperzine A may cause side effects with long term use.

We’ll talk about them more later.

Qualia Mind Caffeine Free Review

[color-box]

Qualia Mind Caffeine Free Review

As you can see, there are a lot of ingredients in Qualia Mind. One of the biggest benefits of it is the fact that you can pay more to get another version of Qualia Mind that contains no caffeine.

When caffeine is in a nootropic, it creates the illusion of cognition, but this is merely a boost from the stimulants.

Qualia Mind has a different problem. It has far too many ingredients. Although a lot of what we’ve seen in here is great – and it is, we love the Bacopa, Phosphatidylserine, Citicoline (it’s even Cognizin Citicolin) and more… There’s just too much going on here.

A lot more refinement needs to be made, there is definitely some wastage in here that could be better spent on other ingredients.

Good examples of what could go include the Ginkgo Biloba (potentially ineffective), Huperzine A (potentially dangerous), Celastrus (potentially ineffective).

That said, there are still plenty of great options in there – we just think there are more streamlined alternatives available at a better price.

Qualia Mind Side Effects

The main side effect concern with Qualia Mind is the Huperzine A.

There have been reports of this component causing side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, blurred vision, sweating, restlessness and more.

Not only that, the ingredient list is Qualia Mind is extensive. It could cause problems if you are allergic, or have any preexisting conditions that could be affected by this supplement.

If you have any concerns you should speak to your doctor or a health professional before supplementing this nootropic.

Qualia Mind Review Reddit

There is some talk about Qualia Mind on reddit. Some positive, and some actual concern for people taking it.

We’ve scoured the site and got the most detailed responses for you to learn the most about what other people are saying.

Here’s someone who was really into Qualia Mind:

Qualia Mind Reddit Review

“I’ve been taking Qualia for about two weeks now, and I have to say that I’m extremely impressed with the results.

The most simple way I can put it is that after about a half hour of taking “step two,” my brain feels like a well oiled machine for about the next four to six hours. After that, I still seem to have some cognitive enhancements, but I don’t feel quite as “on” as during the first part of the day.

I like the fact that the creators of Qualia seem to have done considerable due diligence to use a systems-thinking approach to building a safe nootropic stack.

At the end of the day, many of the ingredients are just vitamins that have been formulated to better cross the blood-brain barrier. Most of the adaptogens are herbs etc.

Overall, it’s a very healthy, natural supplement with a few extra boosters like noopept, which has strong evidence of being neuroprotective.”

Whereas, others looked into the long term effects and were quite shocked about what it could do:

Qualia Mind Reddit

“It seems kinda dangerous. Some of the ingredients (i.e. bacopa or DHA) need to be taken consistently over a long time to get any benefit. But other ingredients are really not things you would want to take every day, like L-dopa (which may cause movement disorders when used continuously for a long period of time).

These compounds also have very different half lives–for instance the optimal re-dosing interval for l-theanine is much shorter than optimal interval for Huperzine A. *The consequence of this is that if you take it as directed, the long half-life compounds will gradually accumulate in your body over time, and potentially reach dangerous concentrations

Also the sheer number of plant extracts means there’s a very significant risk of drug/drug interactions due to altering liver enzyme activity as well an ingesting some contaminants/other undesirable compounds that happen to be present in the plant.”

This review was questioned for evidence to back up this claim, but the redditor did not respond.

But there’s definitely mixed opinions over there. They seem to pick up on the same concerns that we did – there’s a lot of ingredients in here.

Qualia Mind VS Focus – Which one should you be taking?

Qualia Mind and Qualia Focus contain a lot of the same ingredients.

The only difference between the two is that Qualia Mind has a few more ingredients.

Consider Qualia Focus, “Qualia Mind Lite” – it doesn’t contain CDP-Choline, Phosphatidylserine and not as much Uridine.

In our opinion, we think the Choline and the Phosphatidylserine are some of the best ingredients in Qualia Mind – we see Focus as a downgrade by not including these ingredients.

The trade-off however, is that Qualia Focus is significantly cheaper, but when it comes to nootropics, you get what you pay for.

Qualia Mind Summary & Conclusion

So, what is our summary for Qualia Mind, is it worth the money?

It depends how open you are to risk. You have to admit, there’s a hell of a lot of ingredients in Qualia Mind. You should also remember that the price goes up significantly to $119.00 after the first bottle.

Don’t get us wrong, we’ve seen some positive reviews online – like that one on Reddit – and we think plenty of the nutrients used in this Nootropic are good options.

But there’s so much in there, that there’s a much bigger potential for things to go wrong.

Ideally, we’d like to see a much more refined version of Qualia-Mind, like Focus but with some of the better ingredients in.

We’d also suggest that if you’re interested in Qualia Mind we’d suggest paying more for the Caffeine Free version.

If you don’t want to chance the huge list of ingredients, we suggest you look elsewhere on the market.
