PrimalJax Supplement – What is PrimalJax Used For?
PrimalJax is used as a natural testosterone boosting supplement and virility complex. It claims to work by using a variety of natural nutrients that are absorbed by your body to help raise both your testosterone and libido.
This can help raise your virility and general energy levels in that department, to help optimize your hormones to help you perform more effectively.
There are plenty of these on the market, and we were excited to learn that Bodytech has tossed their hat into the ring for this type of supplement.
PrimalJax is a testosterone booster made by BodyTech.
BodyTech is supplement range that is owned by the Vitamin Shoppe – a global supplement retailer.
They are rigorously tested for quality and purity to meet the standards of the Vitamin Shoppe and come in a variety of product types.
BodyTech makes a range of products including Whey Protein, BCAAs, Creatine, Testosterone Boosters and more.
They’re a huge brand, and PrimalJax is just another addition to this huge lineup.
Below, we have the full list of the ingredients in PrimalJax:
- Horny Goat Weed Extract (Epimedium Sagittatum) – 500 mg
- L-Arginine (as HCL) – 500 mg
- Mucnua Pruriens Extract (Standardized to 15% L-DOPA 75 mg) – 500 mg
- Tribulus Terrestris Extract – 500 mg
- MacaPure Maca Extract (Lepidium Meyenii) (Tuber) – 250 mg
- LongJax 20:1 Extract (Eurycoma Longifolia Jack) (Root) – 200 mg
- Bacopin (Bacopa Monneira Extract Standardized to 20% Bacosides A & B 10 mg) – 50 mg
PrimalJax ingredients aren’t the best that we’ve come across for a testosterone booster.
Don’t get us wrong, there are some areas that we believe PrimalJax has some real advantages over other supplements – for example the amount of libido boosters that it has.
However, when it comes to actually raising testosterone levels, there’s only a handful of nutrients that can help here. It’s a weak area for this supplement that we think needs improving on.
Below, we look at the main ingredients in PrimalJax along with our summary and suggestions how it could be better.
Horny Goat Weed
Also known as Epimedium, this isn’t the best option on the market if you’re interested in raising your testosterone levels.
Horny Goat Weed has some claims to help increase your levels of the male hormone, however, research has shown it doesn’t seem to have much of an impact.
The main thing Horny Goat Weed is able to do is to give some mild support to your libido.
This doesn’t help testosterone levels at all in PrimalJax. L-Arginine is an amino acid which has been seen in some cases to help raise your body’s levels of nitric oxide.
Raised nitric oxide levels can help to improve blood flow, which can benefit muscle pumps and nutrient absorption helping you to get more out of this supplement.
However, research shows that supplementing L-Arginine may not be the best option. Your body struggles to absorb it in this form, the ideal way to take L-Arginine is with via a precursor like L-Citrulline. L-Cirulline is far easier to absorb and converts into L-Arginine after your body has effectively absorbed it.
This would be a better option in PrimalJax.
This is arguably the best option in PrimalJax. Mucuna Pruriens, also known as Velvet Bean, can help to raise your testosterone levels and reduce stress levels.
They reduce your stress levels by containing a large amount of the feel-good hormone serotonin. Serotonin can help reduce the stress hormone cortisol and boost your overall mood.
The Mucunua Pruriens can also help to raise your levels of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) which can help promote your body’s levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH).
This is important as LH is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone. The more of it you have in your system from a supplement like PrimalJax the more support they have to grow.
Tribulus Terrestris is not a great option in PrimalJax. It’s a nutrient that we see a lot in supplements like PrimalJax and it’s never a good sign.
Tribulus Terrestris is a herb that has been seen to help raise testosterone in animal studies – however, it has been seen to do next to nothing in human studies.
Don’t expect much when it comes to your testosterone levels with the Tribulus in PrimalJax. The most it may do for you is mildly boost your libido.
This isn’t a testosterone booster in PrimalJax, but it could help in other ways.
Maca is a nutrient which helps more with general male health. It has been seen in some cases to help libido, sperm quality and even sperm count. It’s definitely more of a fertility aid than a testosterone booster.
It won’t help boost your muscle mass, but if you’re more interested in these masculine advantages in PrimalJax that works too.
LongJax (Eurycoma Longifolia)
Also known as Longjack and Eurycoma Longifolia. LongJax is a branded version of this herb in PrimalJax, and thought to be more potent.
However potent it may be, it won’t help your testosterone levels. Research shows that the only time Longjack has been seen to help raise testosterone levels is in animal studies. Unfortuantely, these studies have not scaled up to do the same for humans.
So, what can it do? There is some research that show Longjack can help libido. So it does have the benefit of supporting that in PrimalJax.
Bacopin Extract (Bacopa Monniera)
This isn’t a testosterone booster in PrimalJax. Bacopa is actually an effective cognitive enhancer.
Using Bacopa, you may be able to help promote your overall memory and focus when taking the recommended dosage.
It won’t raise your testosterone levels in PrimalJax, but it could help keep your mind sharp.
Grape Seed Extract
This is more of a supporting ingredient in PrimalJax. Grape Seed contains a component known as resveratrol. Resveratrol is a component which can help promote your overall blood flow and absorption.
This can help you to get more benefit out of the ingredients in PrimalJax and allow them to activate at a faster rate.
PrimalJax Ingredients | Summary
When it comes to testosterone boosting, the PrimalJax ingredients leave a lot to be desired.
Mucuna Pruriens appear to be the only ingredient in this supplement that can effectively help promote testosterone.
Other ingredients in here like the Tribulus, LongJax, Maca and Horny Goat Weed have all been claimed at one point or another to promote testosterone – but the best they’ve been seen to is promote libido.
Aside from that, you’re not going to see much of a difference.
How could PrimalJax be better?
By using some more researched backed ingredients for testosterone. Good examples of this would be:
- Vitamin D3
- D-Aspartic Acid
Both Zinc and D-Aspartic Acid have been seen in research to help promote your body’s levels of the LH – the Luteinizing Hormone. As we’ve mentioned in our Mucuna Pruriens section, LH can help promote your overall levels of growth hormone and testosterone.
Having these two in there would help this supplement a lot.
Next, the Vitamin D3. D3 is such a potent vitamin that it’s technically a hormone.
Studies show that most humans don’t get the optimum amount of Vitamin D3 throughout the day. This is because we absorb it mainly from the sun through our skins.
As most of us spend the majority of our time indoors – not enough of us get enough exposure to get our optimum amount. This is a problem because D3 is linked to your testosterone levels.
By giving yourself as much as your body needs, your testosterone levels have more support to grow.
It would be good if PrimalJax added more ingredients like this into their supplement.
PrimalJax Side Effects
Despite some of the problems that we have with PrimalJax, we believe it’s safe to use.
The ingredients in PrimalJax are natural, and we have no reports of it causing side effects at these dosages. You shouldn’t have any issues.
That said, we aren’t medical professionals and we can’t speak for everyone. If you have any concerns, we suggest that you speak to your doctor before using it.
PrimalJax VS LongJax
LongJax is one ingredient in PrimalJax, PrimalJax is in itself a whole supplement.
The difference between the two is that PrimalJax gives you much more variety than just supplementing LongJax straight.
With LongJax you’ll get the libido boost from the Longjack in it, whereas PrimalJax will give you that plus the testosterone boosting benefits from the Mucuna Pruriens.
If you’re faced with a choice of PrimalJax vs LongJax, we suggest that you choose PrimalJax.
PrimalJax doesn’t appear much at all on Reddit. The only time we’ve seen it mentioned was in passing when discussing male enhancement.
There is nothing on reddit regarding PrimalJax and testosterone boosting. Should any of this change, we will do our best to update this page with the new information.
PrimalJax is not currently listed on Amazon.com for purchase. Several other BodyTech products are available, but not PrimalJax.
The main resource where you’ll be able to buy PrimalJax is from the Vitamin Shoppe
The results from our PrimalJax review is that it’s not a great testosterone booster. If you’re interested in a supplement that can help more with your libido than it can with your hormonal optimization, PrimalJax may be the option for you.
However, if you’re looking for something that can help improve your hormonal profile to help raise your testosterone (and all the benefits that comes with that) it may not be the best option for you.
