As you can see, there seems to be a lot of ingredients in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone Booster that helps your libido rather than testosterone.
Don’t get us wrong, there are still some effective options in this testosterone booster, but there is some definite room for improvement when it comes to the core ingredients.
Below, we look closer at the ingredients in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone to see how effective it really is. We follow this up with our summary and suggestions on how to make it better:
This is a great start to the ingredients in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone. D-Aspartic Acid is a nutrient which has been seen in plenty of research to help promote testosterone.
So, how does DAA do this? After your body absorbs it, DAA helps to promote your body’s overall levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH).
LH is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone. The more of this that you have in your system, the more support your testosterone levels have to grow.
This is another good ingredient here in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone. Fenugreek is a herb which has been seen to mainly help libido, but it does have some benefits whent it comes to testosterone.
It works by helping to regulate your blood sugar, and by extension, your insulin levels. When your insulin levels are high, your body lowers your testosterone – this is because insulin is a hormone and for one to rise, another hormone in your body must fall to keep balance.
In this case it is your testosterone, and the balancing act your body performs is what’s known as homeostasis.
Fenugreek is a good addition to Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone.
Also known as Horny Goat Weed, Epimedium is a herb which has some claims to promote testosterone. However, further research shows that this is not exactly the case.
Horny Goat Weed has been seen in some cases to help raise libido, but it has not been seen to support testosterone when taken by humans.
We think it is a nice libido support in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone, but when it comes to actually raising your testosterone levels, it’s not going to have much of an impact.
This is a good addition to Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone for helping with free testosterone.
Stinging Nettle is contains a component known as beta-sitosterol. It can help your free testosterone by how it interacts with a protein in your body known as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHGB).
SHBG regulates your body’s free testosterone (the testosterone you have readily available) it binds to that testosterone and strips it of any anabolic potency – making it useless.
Stinging Nettle helps in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone by inhibiting the SHBG allowing your testosterone to be more available to you.
This isn’t a testosterone booster in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone, but it can help you in other ways. Maca works primarily as a fertility aid.
Research shows that Maca can help improve sperm count and quality. It can also help to some degree with libido. What it hasn’t been seen to do is help testosterone.
You’re unlikely to see any boosts in your T from taking the Maca in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone.
One of the better ingredients for T in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone. Mucuna Pruriens, also known as Velvet Bean is a good choice when it comes to supporting your testosterone levels.
It works in a similar way to the D-Aspartic Acid, albeit in a slightly more indirect way. Mucnua Pruriens can help to increase your levels of the Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH). GnRH can work as a precursor to the Luteinizing Hormone (LH).
As we’ve mentioned, LH can help to improve your overall levels of growth hormone and testosterone over time.
The Mucuna Pruriens and D-Aspartic Acid are doing the majority of the work for your T in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone.
This however, is not a g ood chioce in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone. Eurycoma Longifolia, also known as Tongkat Ali or Longjack, is a nutrient which has claims to promote testosterone.
However, further research shows that this isn’t exactly the case. Eurycoma has been seen in some studies to help promote testosterone – however, these are animal studies.
The same results have not been seen to scale up to humans. The only benefit it has been seen to have in human cases is a mild boost in libido.
Aside from that, you’re not going to get much out of the Longjack in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone.
Boron is the final ingredient in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone. It has been seen in some cases to help promote testosterone and also help to manage and control the female hormone estrogen.
It’s a good support in this supplement and should help to create better balance between the male and female hormone in your body.
Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone Ingredients Label | Summary
There are some good ingredients in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone, however, it seems more targeted to improving libido rather than testosterone.
The best ingredients in this supplement are by far the D-Aspartic Acid, Mucuna Pruriens and Boron. Aside from that, there’s not much in here that can contribute to better testosterone levels.
The Stinging Nettle helps too for free testosterone, but more could be added to improve Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone.
If there were more researched-backed ingredients in here like Zinc (helps raise LH), Magnesium (supports free testosterone) and Vitmain D3 (boosts testosterone production) this would give Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone the edge over most of the competition on the market.
Is Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone Safe?
If you are of healthy body and mind Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone is safe to use.
The ingredients are natural and have not been linked to cause any side effects at these dosages. You shouldn’t run into any issues.
The only thing we would suggest is that you consume Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone with food. The D-Aspartic Acid may cause an upset stomach if it isn’t taken with some food to help it digest while in your stomach.
Aside from that you shouldn’t have any issues.
All that said, we are not doctors, if you have any concerns speak to yours and go through the ingredients with them. This applies double if you have any existing medical conditions or allergies.
Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone Free Trial / Free Sample
There is a 14 day free trial option for the original Nugenix formula, but there does not seem to be an available option for Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone.
We always advise that you be careful with any free supplement sample that you get off the internet – particularly if they ask for your payment information for the shipping.
There are some cases where customers get re-billed by the supplier after their trial has ended for the full price of the product, whether or not they actually liked it.
We have been asked in the past by our customers how to cancel the original Nugenix. If you need that information you can find it over on our supplement faq section in the side bar.
Nugenix Total T vs Nugenix Ultimate
Nugenix Total T is more concerned with blood flow, rather than testosterone boosting. It contains Citrulline Malate which is mainly used to boost blood flow and muscle pumps.
This has some advantages, but it helps you more when your training in the gym and improving endurance rather than boosting testosterone.
Like Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone, Total T also contains Eurycoma Longifolia, Fenugreek and Boron. Fenugreek and Boron being the only ingredients in that list that will help testosterone. That said, Total T also contains Zinc which is good for improving your overall levels of the Luteinizing Hormone which helps growth hormone and testosterone.
Another main difference between Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone and Nugenix Total T is the price. Total T is significantly cheaper at $64.99 whereas Ultimate Testosterone is $84.99.
Ultimate Testosterone Reviews
As you can see, there are some good ingredients in Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone, but there is room for improvement.
We like the Fenugreek, D-Aspartic Acid, Boron, Stinging Nettle and Mucunca Pruriens, but there are a handful of more effective options which would’ve really done a lot for Nugenix Ultimate Testosterone.
It’s a good testosterone booster, but we don’t think it’s worth $84.99, we feel there are better options available if you’re prepared to shop around.
