This is our Neuriva review, a nootropic brain support supplement with claims to promote:
- Brain Performance
- Focus
- Learning
- Memory
- Accuracy
- Concentration
But how well will it work for you? In this short review, we take you through the main ingredients, side effects and general thoughts on Neuriva as well as how it compares to it’s competition Prevagen.
Here’s what you need to know:
Neuriva Ingredients
There are only two ingredients in Neuriva, you can see the full ingredient list below:
- NeuroFactor (Coffee Cherry) (Coffee Fruit) – 100 mg
- Plant-Sourced Sharp PS (Phosphatidylserine) – 100 mg
As you can see, there are only two ingredients in this nootropic supplement. Although this feels like they’re being much more precise with their ingredients, there’s a lot more you need in your stack for maximum cognition.
Below, we look at these ingredients along with our thoughts on Neuriva and how we think it can be improved.
NeuroFactor (Coffee Cherry) (Coffee Fruit)
Although branded and claimed to deliver a lot of benefits in Neuriva, Coffee Fruit has one main that is going to do most of the work here: caffeine.
This isn’t always best choice in a nootropic. Caffeine is good for raising energy levels, focus and metabolism – but can also cause energy crashes after a few hours.
Your brain may get a boost from Neuriva because of this but it may also turn sluggish hours later after the effects have worn off.
Plant-Sourced Sharp PS (Phosphatidylserine)
This is the best ingredient in Neuriva. Phosphatidyslerine is an amino acid that is found in high quantities throughout your brain. It can help improve your overall cognitive functioning as well as help your memory and lower your levels of the stress hormone cortisol.
It definitely does the majority of the heavy lifting in this nootropic. Helping to give you better overall cognition while also improving your temperment.
Ingredient Summary
All in all there are only two ingredients in Neuriva. We like the Phosphatidylserine, but we think there are several other ingredients which could be added to this nootropic that would help improve it.
For example, Bacopa Monnieri has been seen in numerous studies to help memory, whereas Rhodiola Rosea has been seen to help well-being and mood.
Another ingredient that would work well in citicoline which has been seen to help overall cognition and focus.
If more of these ingredients were added to Neuriva it would be a much more potent nootropic.
Neuriva Reviews Side Effects: Are there any?
Are there any side effects with Neuriva? We shouldn’t think so. There are only two ingredients in here which don’t have any reports of causing issues.
The only mild concern we have is the caffeine dosages from the coffee. This could cause energy crashes later on in the day which could break your concentration and lower your overall cognition.
This could pose an issue to some people, especially those who are sensitive to caffeine. We suggest that you speak to your doctor before using this supplement if you are unsure. You should really speak to your doctor if you have any preexisting conditions or allergies.
Does Neuriva Work?
Neuriva works to an extent. 100 mg of Phosphatidylserine may have some benefit when it comes to your memory and focus – but it’s not as potent as an actual nootropic stack.
You might have some minor increases in cognition after taking it for a while – but nothing near what you’d get from taking a full-spectrum nootropic stack.
Neuriva vs Prevagen
Prevagen is the more expensive, less effective nootropic compared to Neuriva.
Whereas Neuriva contains Coffee Fruit and Phosphatidylserine, both ingredients which can help memory and focus – Prevagen contains Vitamin D3 and Apoaequorin (a calciumm binding protein from jellyfish).
Although there are plenty of animal studies on Apoaequorin, there are significantly less human ones compared to what you would find on Caffeine and Phosphatidylserine.
Add on the higher price tag of $40.00 that Prevagen has and Neuriva is by far our favorite out of the two.
Where can I buy Neuriva?
You can buy Neuriva from various online retailers, Neuriva is mainly available online from Amazon, however there are numerous other places where you can buy this nootropic.
Here’s the list of other online retailers of Neuriva:
- Walgreens
- CVS Pharmacy
- Schiff Vitamins (Neuriva’s Manufacturer)
- Target
As you can see, there’s a plenty to choose from if you live in the United States.
Neuriva Brain Performance Reviews | Summary
As you can see, Neuriva isn’t the best option on the market when it comes to the best performance for your cognition and brain function
The benefits of Neuriva come from 2 ingredients, the Phosphatidylserine and Coffee – with only one of those (the phosphatidylserine) really having an impact, while the other just boosts your energy levels for a short period of time.
It’s clear to us that this isn’t the best nootropic on the market. It may be a great way to take a phosphatidylserine supplement – but when it comes to giving yourself full-spectrum cognitive boosting – it’s far from the best option available.
You may have better look after doing more research on the market.
