This is our Alpha Lean 7 review, a fat burner by Hard Rock Supplements.
It is a fat burner with claims to promote:
- Energy
- Fat Loss
- Appetite Suppression
- Focus
But how well will it work for you? In our in-depth report, we look closer at this Lean-7 from Hard Rock Supplements to see how effective it really is.
We consider, the ingredients, servings, side effects, what people are saying on reddit, how it compares to other fat burners like Instant Knockout and more.
What is Lean 7?
Alpha Lean-7 is a fat burner from Hard Rock Supplements.
A fat burner is a natural fat burner which means it uses a combination of herbs, vitamins, nutrients and minerals to promote fat burning properties in your body.
How good a fat burner is depends on several circumstances, such as the quality of the ingredients, the amount of servings and how safe it is to use.
Below, we’ll be looking at all that and more to see how effective Alpha Lean 7 really is.
Alpha Lean Ingredients
- Alpha Lean-7 Proprietary Blend: 675 mg
- Caffeine Anhydrous
- Taraxacum Officinate (Dandelion Powder)
- Dimethylethanolamine
- Theophyline Anhydrous (natural)
- Eria Jarensis extract N-phenyl-Dimethylamine
- Betaine Anhydrous (TMG)
- Green Tea Extract (50% Catechins)
- Cissus Quadrangularis (5% Ketosteroids)
- L-Carnitine
- Rauwolfia vomitoria Root Extract (std. min. 90% Alpha Yohimbine)
As you can see, all the ingredients in here are part of a proprietary blend.
That means you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting and how effective it will be overall in Lean-7.
There are some good ingredients in Alpha Lean 7 by Hard Rock Supplements. However, there is some room for improvement.
Some can help fat loss, whereas others may actually cause side effects. Let’s take a look at the full list below:
Caffeine Anhydrous
A great start to Alpha Lean 7. Caffeine Anhydrous is a good natural stimulant which is always perfect for a fat burner.
You know it raises energy levels, but what else can it do for you?
Studies show that caffeine can help to improve your overall levels of energy, metabolism, focus and even power output. This makes it good for both improving your fat loss and your performance in the gym.
Taraxacum Officinate (Dandelion Powder)
We’re not fans of Dandelion Root in Alpha-Lean 7, or any fat burner.
Why? Because it is a diuretic. This means it does not burn fat – it cuts water weight.
This means all the weight loss benefits you experience from it are merely short term. You’re not burning additional fat, you’re just losing more water.
To avoid dehydration, we suggest that you drink plenty of water with this supplement to counteract any negative effects from the Dandelion Root in Alpha Lean 7 by Hard Rock Supplements.
Dimethylethanolamine (DMAE)
Also known as DMAE, this is not a good option in Lean-7. Why? Because it doesn’t burn fat.
It’s thought to help boost focus, however, studies show that this may not be the case.
The main thing we have point out is that there are no real human studies out there which show it to promote focus. Studies that are more notable are the ones on mice which have shown it to cause birth defects.
It’s something that we suggest bringing into your system.
Theophyline Anhydrous (natural)
Oddly, this is an ingredient in Alpha Lean 7 which is thought to help treat lung diseases by opening up your breathing passages.
This may make it feel easier to breath while training. However, this is not without it’s risks.
There’s plenty of research which shows that Theophyline Anhydrous may cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, headaches, insomia and more. We’ll go into more details on this later.
Eria Jarensis extract N-phenyl-Dimethylamine
This is not a great option in Alpha Lean-7. It’s not that Eria Jarensis isn’t effective – it’s that it could be potentially dangerous.
It works in a similar way to ephedrine, which is a banned fat burner. It has stimulating effects but this comes with a range of side effects that follow it.
It can cause jitters, rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure and other stimulant related issues.
Betaine Anhydrous (TMG)
This isn’t a fat burner in Alpha Lean-7. Betaine comes from Red Beetroot and can help your performance.
Studies show that Betaine can help boost the nitric oxide in your blood. This promotes your overall blood and nutrient flow which can help with muscle pumps, endurance and absorption of this supplement.
Green Tea Extract (50% Catechins)
This is a much better addition to Alpha Lean 7. Green Tea is a nutrient which has been seen in numerous studies to help burn fat.
It contains a specific kind of antioxidant known as catechins which have been seen to help promote fat loss. These catechins help to promote your body’s levels of the fat burning hormone norepinephrine, the more norepinephrine you have in your system, the more support your body has to burn fat.
Green Tea also contains L-Theanine which can help focus and a small amount of caffeine to promote energy.
Cissus Quadrangularis (5% Ketosteroids)
This is more of a supporting ingredient in Alpha Lean 7. Cissus Quadrangularis has been seen in numerous studies to help reduce inflammation which can help improve absorption and also help prevent joint pain.
It doesn’t help fat loss in this supplement, but it can help in this small way.
L-Carnitine
This is a good ingredient in Alpha Lean 7, but we’re concerned that there may not be enough of it in here.
That’s because it’s all in a proprietary blend. You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting – and you need a lot of L-Carnitine to get the full effects in Lean 7.
L-Carnitine is an amino acid which has been seen in numerous studies to promote energy, metabolism and focus, however this is in daily dosages of 500 – 2500 mg. It’s unlikely that this much is in Alpha Lean 7.
Rauwolfia vomitoria Root Extract (std. min. 90% Alpha Yohimbine)
Also known as Yohimbe, this is the final ingredient in Alpha Lean 7. However, we’re not sure it is a good option.
It can help with appetite suppression, but it does have some risks which could lead to side effects.
Studies have shown that Yohimbe has links to causing gastrointestinal distress, anxiety and headaches. It can reduce your appetite, but potentially at the cost of your health.
- Ingredients overview of Alpha Lean 7 by Hard Rock Supplements
As you can see, some of the ingredients in this supplement are good like the caffeine, green tea and carnitine. However, the proprietary blend may pose a problem. You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it may be overall.
There’s also a risk with the Yohimbe causing side effects, as well as the synephrine causing problems, too.
Transparency is what this supplement needs a lot more of.
Alpha Lean 7 Side Effects
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Raised Heart Rate
- Higher Blood Pressure
- Anxiety
- Gastrointestinal Distress
Are some of the potential side effects that you may experience from some of the ingredients in this supplement.
The main issues come from the Synephrine, Yohimbe, Eria Jarenensis and potentially the Yohimbe.
If you have any concerns, we suggest that you speak to your doctor before using Alpha Lean 7.
This also applies if you suffer from any preexisting conditions or allergies. It’s a weight loss aid that we suggest that you be wary of.
Alpha Lean 7 vs Instant Knockout
Head to head, how is Instant Knockout VS Alpha Lean 7 by Hard Rock Supplements?
We have to give it to Instant Knockout, by ingredients, safety and value – they are better than Lean 7.
For instance, the ingredients in Instant Knockout are not in a proprietary blend. You know how much you’re getting of each ingredient and you can measure how effective it really is overall.
Also the safety is more prominent in Instant Knockout, none of the risky choices in Alpha Lean 7 are in Instant Knockout like the Synephrine, Eria Jarensis and Yohimne. It’s more Green Tea and Green Coffee based.
Finally, the value of Alpha Lean 7 vs Instant Knockout is much more noticeable too. Purchasing 3 bottles of Instant Knockout allows you to get a fourth bottle free, which gives you an overall saving of $65.00. Although Alpha Lean-7 is cheaper per bottle, the overall savings that you’d get from Instant Knockout works out much better for you.
Alpha Lean 7 Customer Reviews
Alpha Lean 7 users and customers appear to have positive reviews when looking around online (despite the potential side effects).
We took our sample from Alpha Lean 7 customers on StrongSupplementShop, mainly because they are the only major online supplement company that still sell it.
Here’s what they had to say:
“WOW!
I’ve tried all the legal fat burners before all I ever got was sick:( I’m on a post bulking cut and wanted to try something to help with the fat loss, lack of energy etc. So, I’m sitting here after my very first dose, just one pill on an empty stomach before breakfast. Does anyone have a house they need cleaned? Is there a ton of bricks that need moved from one point to another? WOW, the buzz is amazing, I’m getting warm and not sure how long I can stay here writing a review!!! “
– Fraser (Unverified Purchase)
We want to note, that Fraser, although giving a positive review – much like many of the other customer reviews on StrongSupplementShop, did not have a verified purchase of Alpha Lean 7.

Alpha Lean-7 Hard Rock Supplements Reviews
Alpha Lean 7 is not the best fat burner that we’ve come across on the market, and this comes down to several factors:
- The ingredients – You don’t know how much of each you’re getting due to proprietary blends.
- Safety – Some of the ingredients in here may cause side effects.
- Retailers are pulling out – There are only a few online stores left that sell Alpha Lean 7.
There are definitely better options out there when it comes to fat burners. At the moment, we don’t recommend that you use this supplement.
